Sup guys,

Just received an sms telling me that I have outstanding fines and that I should go to www.mobifines.co.za to view or make payment. Standard Bank internet banking shows I have no fines and I haven't received anything in the mail. Anyone know anything about this service?

The domain was only register about 12 days ago... And by Smartcall.

I would ignore it or reply with STOP.

Are they also saying the Vice-prince of Nigeria has passed away, leaving you as the sole beneficiary of ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS, and all you have to do is log into your internet banking profile from this highly legit-looking China-based site?

I'd go as far as saying it looks like fraudulent activity.

I wounder how they got my first name and cellphone number. Thats really weird.

Edit: Went to the traffic department and checked. I have no fines. Apparently, lots of people have been coming in with that sms, but the system reflects nothing. Bastards! The thought of parting with R2250 had thoroughly ruined my day.
