guys i installed mini opera on my wifes phone and she thinks its the best thing since sliced bread, so my question is, what other mobile applications should i get for her or me that is either fun or informative. my 11 yr old daughter would also love something on her phone that she can mess around with, i have got her some games but she is looking for a sims type game. any ideas?

thanks.

You do get a sims game for mobile. I think they are quite expensive though. A cool application for mobile is the google earth mobile version.

What phone does your wife and daughter have?

That will help us a lot :)

sorry man. we all have samsung e250. oh and by the way we are not on gmail but i hear lots of people use it, so may think of getting it sometime.

I'm uploading some Mobile Java Games, I haven't tried all so I don't know how good it is.

It's a total of 40mb (395 files/games), I'm busy uploading so it will take a while for all files to b uploaded.

Ok, so that means its mostly, if not all, Java applications.

Don't know a lot of Java apps but meanwhile, think you all will like these web links which are built for cellphone web browsers:

http://m.24.com/ - it not only has news but also has local weather and a TV guide. When you get to the weather and TV guide, suggest you bookmark them for future use.

http://m.google.co.za/ - can search but google also formats the web pages for you. Works better than Opera in my opinion.

http://wapedia.mobi/ - Wikipedia on your mobile.

http://www.feedm8.com/ - for mobile version of various popular sites.

Enjoy :)

Depending on your phone, try to get hold of Shazam TrackID :)

Lets you ID any song that's playing by just letting the phone listen to a couple of seconds. Fantastic little application.

I had tons and tons of apps, got bored ogf them eventually theres still a few that I use....
Checkout getjar.com for some good free apps.;)

The problem here is the e250 ( and many other Samsung models) they are not very "Java friendly", they are pretty limited unfortunately. Newer models look a bit more promising. EQO like our local "Yeigo" has limited or a niche market appeal as it requires you to have a "smartphone"
