Hi there

I'm travelling to Madrid for a couple of days next week on business. I will need data on my iPhone.

Anyone got suggestions on which operator / plan or other to choose when I land?

MTN Roaming is enabled, so at worst, I could use that but the data roaming tariffs are between R2 and R75 per Mb used, depending on which network you happen to lock onto. That's too expensive for my purposes, as I need good coverage for email / skype calls etc.

Suggestions anyone?

Thanks

You can get a Vodafone sim card with 1gig data and minutes for €10 or €20 with LTE enabled - Just bring your passport

I was in Spain about 3 years ago, and it was very easy and fairly cheap to get a prepaid SIM & data bundle (just need passport and 10-15 Euros). I got one from Orange, but the other networks also have good deals. They have shops everywhere in the cities (airports, shopping malls, etc).

The specific packages has changed since then, so I suggest you just shop around a little when you're there.

That's cool! Where do I buy one? Is there a kiosk at the airport perhaps?
