Mobile leaders in SA

Eish South African's are not using the interenet which begs the question what's the point of BIS really?
 
"Vodafone live portal" Nice of vodacom to make that thei default homescreen on their phones browsers.
 
South Africans have perhaps the most frustratingly routine browsing habits any new website owner could get. Most would rather leave the default home pages which came with their devices or browsers, yet will Google things like Facebook and Twitter instead of just bookmarking.

I would know this considering I have a pool of student users now, and whilst I do love the growth we are showing, it could be faster and better, and I could have a better website visitor retention rate than the average 3-5mins or not have people Googling the website url to find it. They just do not "stick" on a website, be it Facebook or Twitter, apps do help a lot now though!

It's default on Vodacom phone browsers (especially feature phones i.e. majority of phones in SA). All my Nokia's before the current Lumia would all default to Vodafone Live Portal till I changed it. So others would rather just leave it, use it, or switch to Opera Mini (and even that is now Vodacom/Vodafone branded unless you download the unbranded version)
