Mobile number portability

Hi, Just a general question on number portability.

How many times one can port number (switch providers while retaining original).

I have ported from MTN to cellc in the past. Last week, I went to move back to MTN, some technical problem came while porting and the store guy was unable to port the number. He ended up giving me new number.

There is no limit but most providers make you wait 3 months before you can port back.

I have ported several different numbers on several occasions, so there should be no reason he couldn't do the port for you.
If there is an error he should explain it or ideally sort it out-that's his job!
