Mobile Operating Sytem app wars

Told you, buddy. I don't swing that way.

M8, you are hilarious. Have you ever considered stand-up?

Its like a never-ending stream, you just keep going and going, amazing!

I'm gonna go play COD for a while, but I'll be back a bit later to see what you've come up with.

Later buddy!

That's a little passive-agressive don't you think? Gotta blow off some steam by killing imaginary people.
Some people just can't stand the heat.

A bit late, I know, but I opened the article before the weekend and only got back to my pc now, so my reply is late.

I am an Android user(Desire). My sister's bf got her a Wave last week. Comparatively I am impressed with Bada, but the app prices are pretty high in a few cases. Also, the app selection seems very limited, and the apps and games I downloaded on her phone does not feel much better than Android. I have a contact that works at Samsung, and they got demo'd the Galaxy S last week. Up until then he was Bada this, Bada that....The Galaxy S demo has opened up his eyes(and shut him up). It sounds like he is saying that Samsung is trying Bada, but there is a reason they are shipping their flagship models with Android. So once again, time will tell, but if Bada is to make it, it still has a long way to go. But I am a geek. The masses may like it. I just like my Android freedom.

Good point. Honestly though, a good deal of this added functionality seems to be gained by rooting. That's kind of negating the point isn't it?

I think to a certain degree it might be negating the point. From what I understand the restrictions put in place to stop a user from getting root were originally placed there to stop malicious applications from doing things to your phone.
Im interested to know if IOS4 is also based on a unix back end like the OS X products, do you know if that is the case?

What a load of bull from Russel. It is titled OS wars, but then focus on apps.

An OS is supposed to handle anything an app throws at it, even if it is junk. If you have a proper OS, then you do not need to worry that the apps will make it crash.
