Mobile Phone Credit Record

Hi All,

Please may you assist me with a query. I would like to purchase a contract with one of the network providers but am not sure if i am credit worthy. I have been working for the past 3 years, own bank account, pay my car insurance, rent and telkom every month.

I do NOT have a 'credit record' e.g. paying a monthly clothing account or paying off a vehicle.

Do you think what i have is sufficient or should i get a credit card / clothing account?

Unless you Telkom is prepaid, you probably have a good credit record if you pay that every month on time...

Why do you want to get a contract so badly in this day and age? Rather go with prepaid.

you don't really need a credit record exactly, as long as you can prove to them that your salary is getting paid into your bank account and that you are not blacklisted or have any judgements against you for non payment then you most probably will get it from any service provider

I was in a similar situation when I first got a contract, bank statement and a call to my bosses later I was approvef by MTN
