I recently signed a Telkom contract for the Galaxy Tab A 9.7.

After using it, i realise its not the tablet for me.

So i wanted to find out if you are in a contract with a SP can you sell the device that you receive in that contract?

Technically that device belongs to the SP until the contract is finished or you do a early cancellation. But, I see no problem with selling the device. The people that buy such devices should just be warned that if the owner of the contract which that device is linked to starts defaulting on the contract, the SP is within their right to blacklist the device, so then you as the person that bought that device will sit with a useless device that cannot connect to South African mobile networks, and not much you can do about it.

What Okie said.

You can sell the device, but remember you will still have to pay for the device for the duration of your contract period. A second option is to terminate your contact early and pay a settlement fee.

Hmm. .. OK cool. There's no chance of me defaulting. So who ever I sell it to will be safe in that sense. Lol
