I'm totally confused when it comes to selecting a mobo. If I'm going for an Intel Dual Core E7400 for example, then what's the difference between an Intel G31 mobo and GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2C 1333 FSB Mobo? Considering I'll want 3-4gb of ram, space for a tv card and I'd like 6-8 usb ports. I'm using it the machine for developing purposes c#, visual studio etc...
It's the same with heatsinks , when shopping on Evetech I can select the standard heat sink, or something else by Cooler Master bundle. But i don't know which one to pick.
I last built a pc 9 years ago, but these days there's so much more to choose from. What's your view or recommendation?
