Mobo CPU and Mem upgrade Advice please

Where can I get good second hand ones from

Also its only R420 for a new one so I don't know if its worth taking a chance on a second hand one

I definatly have a core 2 duo I got the model number wrong initially its the e6600 not the q6600. the e6600 is the dual core

This changes things considerably! Getting a new motherboard just to overclock your E6600 isn't worth it!

If you can get a Q9500 for under R800, then it would be worth it, otherwise go for i5 760 + new GFX card.

Do I replace the current mobo and keep the e6600 and over clock it and get a new 460 GFX card or do I purchase the i5 and keep my current 8800 GTS card which one will give me the best performance increase

I might be able to get my hands on a e7500 would that be better than the e6600?

Replace mobo, get new card, OC e6600 as far as u can.. 3.0+

you will only get like 20% improvement if you're going to OC the CPU from 2.4 to 3GHz, and the framerate increase would be even less I suppose.
