So my pc doesn't seem to play sound anymore..

checked the sound drivers, set the correct realtek driver as default in sound panel, uninstalled rebooted reinstalled, checked that the sound is enabled on Mobo bios, unplugged everything not vital to booting gpu hdds cd rom etc, reformatted, busy downloading updated bios from live update program.

reckon my board is stuffed? what could I be missing...
