I've finally received all the parts for my PC, but I'm kinda stuck because the case is a no-name brand variety with 100% useless instructions.

My problem is with the spacing between the mobo and the case. The normal hexagonal spacers are not part of the setup and I'm not quite sure whether I can mount the board directly onto the case on these things without any spacers.

Also please explain which parts of the mobo may have a connection with the case and which will short it.

And lastly does anybody know what these things are good for. The bottom part clips into the case, but the mobo does not have any holes where the screws that come with that thingy go. So they would just act as insulators in a place where the mobo is never going to touch anyway.

Somebody help please...I don't want to short the board.:o

if you place your mobo, do all those holes line up without the need for those copper stands?

if they do place mobo and screw in, nothing will short

i actually like those kinds of cases, not sure why the big boys dont use that feature

not sure about the white picture

First fit the motherboad on the case (running no power and being careful of static) and see if it (ie the ports on the back ie. usb audio etc,) corresponds to the port faceplate... That should tell you if spacers are needed or not for that mobo. It shouldn't short like that. I hate the design though... if the hole strips you cannot just insert new seat for another screw...
