I have a Intel DH55HC mobo and was recently trying to troubleshoot something and downloaded 'Intel Desktop Utilities' which reports various voltages on my mobo. There's a 1.5 volt item (what are they even?? lol) that keeps hovering around and over the default threshold that's set of 1.585 (goes up to a max of around 1.59) and as a result I keep getting warnings from this software.

My question is, how bad is this & could it be damaging anything? Can I do anything about it? Thanks!

That is not good. It might be your psu and it can be bad. But most motherboards will shutdown if it goes to far (mine did ) now I can say for sure that yours will but I will test it with a other psu if I was you

Hmm, well thanks for worrying me ;) But I've been told that it's most likely the memory voltage which is automatically set by my mobo at 1.6V in which case it shouldn't really be an issue ...I think!

PSU's have a 1.5V rail?

Edit: I see that AGP 2.0 uses 1.5V, but the board doesnt have AGP. You said you were trying to troubleshoot something, what was wrong?

I know intel make rubbish motherboards, maybe try other brands.
I'll be upgrading soon, so no worries. I've been out of the hardware game for so long, any particular mobo brands you'd recommend? I've mostly gone for ASUS in the past.
