Good day to you ;)

Guys. Please assist me with some input.

My girlfriends birthday is in the start of March. I would like to give her a bath experience in our shower. :p

Our home only has a shower. It is quite large however. Size is about 1m wide and 2m long.

I know my lady loves to bath and I can't afford to build a new bathroom. Is there any mod/accessory I can buy to fit in the shower according to those sizes? The shower is about as large as a standard bath.

And no. I'm not buying a skottel/emmer for her :)

I bet these old type stand alone baths would work, victorian style. I don't think she would mind if it is hardened plastic, the mould should just look nice/funky.

She won't bath each day, so I will keep it in the wash room when not needed. I'll mod the shower head to give her water control.

Any tips would be appreciated, links, advice welcome.

Thank you
tera

Why not just buy a fiberglass bath and weld up a sq tube frame to hold it? You can get them without the tap holes cut into it and just put a simple plug fitting in, since it all should run down the shower drain.
You could even clad the frame with some abs to hide the bath. It might be a misson to take out and put in tho, depending on the layout of your bathroom, but they're light enough to manage.

Edit: I see now you want it to look funky... one of those slipper baths look really funky, but I think they might be too heavy... Otherwise maybe get am awesome digital print of a rain forest or something and put that on the abs cladding. I'm guessing you could probably put together a fiberglass frame, cladding, bath and print for about R2.5k, maybe R3k..
One of these baths will fit nicely, not sure how much they cost or how heavy they are.

Or if you're comfortable with BOB... oops, I see that's already closed...

How DIY savvy are you? To do what you want is really not that hard & expensive but will require a few days work.

How about an outside bath in the garden if you have one?, screened off from the neighbours obviously.

Thanks guys for the suggestions.

My main aim is to have a portable bath. Therefore I'm not welding etc or making fixtures for permanent installation. The shower will still be used, more than the bath. It's not my thing to bath.

The outside bath is a no go. We stay on a farm and there's workers around the place, so no.

I need a plastic or fibre glass free standing bath that is light enough to move.

I sent CTM and Builders Warehouse an email. If I get a reply, cool, but I'll turn there over the weekend.

tera ;)

You can go and have a look at the places where they sell outdoor camping stuff.

There is a type of portable solar geyser there. The screening etc you will have to improvise yourself.
