Hi, sorry if this has been discussed, but I have searched and could not find a thread.
I want to connect a modded ps2 slimline via a network switch to my pc. I then want to load a ripped ps2 game and run it via my pc's hdd in order to play it on the ps2. Is this at all possible? I have heard of HDloader and usbextreme, but don't know if this is at all applicable.

Nope possible. You can only play iso's from a usb device on a slim ps2. If you had a fatty you can copy the iso across the network the a HDD in the ps2 and play, but you can't play the iso across the network.

Ok...I've got an external HD, would that suit as a USB device? The thing is my 7 year old son keeps on stuffing up the original PS2 discs by taking them out and then letting then fall on the ceramic tile floor, thus scratching the hell out of them. I have now turned to burning backups of the originals and was hoping I could instead save some DVD's and let the PS2 run directly from my PC.
What should I do with the external HD if I load the iso's on there? How is the file going to get mounted etc etc??

Thanks for the info. I also read about using Faplink, HDL_Dump and WinHIIP and according to that, you can use a network cable to run ISO's to the PS2. Now just to get my head cleared and start reading up on that as a lot is more for techies etc. Maybe you know of a simpler way? :(

You can use hdldump and hdlserver to transfer the files, but its slow. IF you only have a few iso's then it will be fine.

if you need to copy lots of iso's you will need to take out the hdd , put it in a pc and use winhiip.
