Modem en wifi router help

Hi guys, ive just applied to get a line installed and planning on getting afrihost 8mb premium home uncapped. Would like to know what modem and router I must get thats NOT expensive. Internet will be used for for playing online on a ps4, streaming (android box),connecting cell phones and obviously some downloads.

Well if you're looking for cheap, you can't go wrong with a TP link from the likes of Makro.
My personal opinion is to spend the extra cash and get one that is dual band (you'll thank me later)

Thanks for response. I have no experience with modems and wifi routers. So not sure what to look for. Found this--> "TP-Link Archer D50 AC1200 Wireless Dual Band ADSL2+ Modem Router"

Price was R1150. Will this work? Or is their better options?

Is that product a all in one modem and Wi-Fi router?

No, it has a WAN port suitable for fibre installations but not ADSL.

D-Link 2740u isn't dual-band, but wi-fi strength is good for a medium sized home.

Found mine to be very reliable - have had it for probably a year, now, and since Telkom upgraded their network in my area, haven't had any dropped connections.
