Modem frequently disconnects

i am meaning the constant switching between 3g and hspa of the modem. esp noticable during gaming- never used to do this till i started having *** with cellc.

even tried using hspa locker. but doesnt make a diff. something is definately screwed up. not my pc cause its my line of work
 
so basically i understand the principal of low traffic and priority etc. not using low bandwith.
 
HA! So, after blood, sweat, tears, banging my head against the wall, etc, etc, I'm finally posting using my (semi-) stable Cell C connection (WCDMA @ 99% signal strength)! Can't remember exactly what I did (things are still a bit hazy - hey, it was NYE!), but I got it installed and running. I had a bit of an issue earlier, where I could only access the Cell C website. This seems to have been resolved. Also, no disconnects thus far!

I'll keep you guys updated - so far so good, though. Maybe the stars have finally aligned?!
 
Think I may have spoken too soon... straight after my previous post, data transfer stopped. Dash says i'm still connected, but the light on the modem is no longer solid, but flashing blue

*sigh*
