Modem issues

Hi, i am using the netgrear N300 modem using Telkom and from yesterday i have had no internet because the modem status reads either Training or negotiating..

Is there something i can do from my side to fix this or i must call the notorious Telkom help line?

Check if your phone line is working: dialtone and no crackling on the line.

If the line is not completely down then you need to call Telkom. Ask them to run diagnostics on your line and then reset the port.
 
I just have the internet line and no phone so i cant really check the dialtone
