I had an Belkin Modem.. it worked fine for a few months but then after a while it started dropping the connection every so often. It would connect again after a while... or it wouldnt. I would have to reset the fcuking thing and sometimes, very rarely, I would get a stable connection.

I tried installing the firmware updates but couldnt find them on the Belkin site... So I took it back to incredibel infection to get my money back. They took it in and said they would take an look. They confirmed that the modem was in fact dropping the line and then reconnecting over and over.

However, while they had it, I went and got another modem from telkom....that one worked fine for a while but has now also started dropping the line every two minutes or so... fcuking irritating!! it always seems to happen when i am playing poker online and I get Aces in the hole.....

anybody have any idea what could be wrong? Please help....

I had the same problem.

I eventualy plugged the router into a ups and now everything is 100%
Power dips caused the router to disconnect the whole time.

The other thing could also be that there is noise on the line or the line has a problem of some kind.

You could phone telkom and ask them to test the line for you, they will come with all sorts of stories.

Thats all I can think of right now.
