<font size="2"><font face="Verdana">Hey

Since the day I got ADSL(somewhere around march), whenever Ive tried to play Online games like Counterstrike or Wolfenstein, my connection for some reason seams to get interupted every now and then. If I look at my ROUTER POTS modem, I can see the DSL_LNK LED flashing when this happens. It only happens for like 10 seconds or so and usually every 5 minutes maybe(not a constant thing).
Ive had Telkom in to check out the line and modem twice, and not once could they find the problem and fix it. It only seems to affect things like games where a constantly low ping is necessary and as soon as this happens, I just start flying everywhere. [xx(]
I was told at the time by people I spoke to on the internet, that it's more than likely my line losing sync.
Anyone know what the problem could be and how I could fix it?
Thanks!

Welcome to the disgruntled, unhappy, irritated, aggravated, provoked, annoyed, infuriated, exasperated, maddened, frustrated and disturbed ( did I get all the synonyms ?) Telkom ADSL Users Club !!!!!!!! [:(!][:(!]

This is the sad story of our lives !!! We get no support from our beloved Telkom.

I have had signal losts for more than 50 times today !!!! and there seem to be no solution !!!![:D]

I've discovered my line only seems to lose sync when my telephone rings or is put down. Each phone in the house has a filter on it except for the jack the ADSL modem itself is connected to, but the guy who installed it said unless I use an actual phone at this jack, it wont need a filter.
Anyone know how I could solve this problem? It's DAMN irritating.

Some modems have that problem i noticed the d link modems do they dont like the Telkom filters and the netgear ones also dont slow them right i am seposeing that ur best option is just to ... get some othere filters for ur adsl
