Modem / Router issue

Hi guys,

With the lovely rain today, I think that my modem / router might have gone awol due to lightning strike.

I have a Dlink 2750U, but it does not want to connect to the internet.
I tried my old Telkom duoPlus 300WR, and it connected with no issues.

What other check can I do to verify if my modem is kaput or not?

And if so, what recommendations do you guys have as a replacement.

Did the factory reset this morning. No go.
Looks like time for new one. Damn but they are pricey. Or I am stingy. ☺

Just to add, my wife said that she saw a spark or something coming from the study.....

Hi guys.

Is there any specific models you can recommend. I am a bit overwhelmed with all the options.

There is 3 factors for me:
- Stability
- Price
- Wifi range and quality

My uses via wifi is hd streaming and general browsing.

Not sure of number of connected devices play a role, butbon average their is 3 to 4 devices max. On occasion this increases to 6 or 7.
