Hi there,

I'm in the rather perturbing situation of having a wireless router (linksys WRT54GL) and an iburst desktop modem (serial no. UTD-1785D-ZA-A) which have stopped working together. The router seems to work - (my blackberry and macbookpro both pick up its signal). The modem also works, if I use an ethernet connection directly into my PC.

Solutions I've tried to no avail:
  • Updated the drivers for the modem (pc and mac)
  • Updated the firmware for the router
  • Manually configured wireless settings
  • changed router firmware to Tomato 1.28

So far nothing's worked. If anyone's got any suggestions, I'd appreciate them.

Thanks in advance

try using a new Ethernet cable - dumb i know but i always find its the simple stupid things that get us stumped

if not
can you try transferring files between two PC's connected via the router, just so you know its definitely working and test each Ethernet port on the router maybe one of them is messed up?
