Modems/Routers that don't work since the Telkom upgrades

Our new ADSL (4 Mbps) line would NOT work with the following modems (that worked before).

D-Link DSL-G804V (won't sync)

Cisco Linksys WAG120N (won't connect)

*please add to the list*

We had to buy a new Telkom branded D-Link DSL-2750U.

Define upgrades. Because our old trendnet TEW-435BRM is also struggling since they upgraded our exchange and changed the profile on our line from 4mbps to 6mbps.

Where all my ISP accounts used to work normally, as soon as I now move to the 6mbps profile I find it nearly impossible to get connected to some of my accounts. Our Webafrica account for example refuses to connect while our @lantic account will connect for a few minutes at a time. Any and all other ISP accounts still work just fine and connects on the first try. I have not bothered yet to get into any reasoning as to why this might be happening.

Edit: Added pic. Suspect that line noise might be to blame.
