Modern Warfare 2 Hosting question

Hi guys

How do you know if you are hosting a game of MW2 (PC) and is it posible to set something so as not to pick you as a host. This thing is chewing up my cap badly.

I played 2hrs last night, obviously not hosting coz I only used about 40mb, but tonight I played about 90mins and used 170mb.

it also depends on how many players are in the game with you, FPS can take 100 megs or more with alot of players. i have done over 1 gig before in one day on battlefield 2
 
sjoe over 1 gb in a day on BF2? Were you playing lots of guys off 1 connection?

Ive never been able to do that much even with 4 guys playing a few hours of BF together, from the same line.

@OP.

I believe there is a way to stop yourself from being host by blocking certain ports. Or by setting your NAT type to closed instead of open.

I have tried hosting and theirs only a private game option. Does IW.net determine the hoster?

I usually join friend games or invited by friends. If less friends are online, I try finding a game and sometime don't get in a game :(

So how would I host my own game?

Yesterday Mosh pit was awesome by the way :D

seriously, it was like 1.2 gigs..lol... it was last year around christmas time, games started very early in the morning on ranked 1, and i guess i played most of the day..lol
