In the similar vein of the vitality thread, I've noticed that the new points system for multiply has made it more difficult than before.

Anyone else on multiply that can verify this ?

I do concur with you. They've made it very difficult to get to private club this year and removed many categories which used to earn points before.

Yes, its harder for the people that don't exercise often and couldn't be bothered to go for a couple blood and health tests. I'm already on 670 for the year.

I understand why Discovery and Momentum have changed the system. The whole reason for them is to reward you for being healthy and fit, and to look after yourself. This is why Momentum introduced active dayz. They want you to be active for 180 days of the year.

Anybody care to share what the easy things one should do to move up levels with momentum multiply?

I go to gym about 15 to 20 times a month. Apart from that, any tips, tricks?

Do you have Momentum Medical aid and HealthSaver?

I checked out whats there - couple of surveys i can do, should help, but the rest seem like things i need pay for - not sure about those. E.g. Blood tests, Fitness Assessment, Financial advisor discussion.

I dont have Momentum Medical, or Healthsaver.

I dont have Momentum Medical, or Healthsaver.

If you had Momentum medical aid with HealthSaver, you go to Clicks or Dischem and do the basic health assessment. Then with your high gym visits (13 or more per month), you can get R450 paid back into your HealthSaver account every month, that's R5400 into your medical savings every year.

  • I also have a couple other policies with Momentum which I got 200 points for.
  • I also see my adviser every year and that got me 80 points.
  • Those couple of questionnaires netted me 80 points.
  • Got 100 points carried over from last year.
  • Dental checkup and eye checkup got me 30 points.

I did a dental and eye checkup last year, but its less then a year ago - will it count?

The points are only for the current year, not for the last 12 months. So you can go for checkup in December 2015 and get the points for 2015, and then go again in January 2016 and get the points for 2016.

Am I right in saying the 2018 rewards have been significantly reduced?

BTW: I'm referring to the health saver rewards

These companies keep on moving the goalposts ...

These companies keep on moving the goalposts ...
they do, which i can understand as long as they are transparent about the changes.

I am probably signing the docs to move to momentum today. Even with the reduced benefits it still works out better than the rest
