Hi guys - that mongoletsi chip is out - was at ATS again and could not get it to work propahly, as you can remember from way back I told you about the mongoletsi remap bla bla bla...
Dastek on a N/A 2.0 16v???
Aparently they can alter according to the needs of the driver, with this mongoletsi Pino could not...coz #1 he used diesel parameters and #2 it was for cars in Europe so all the guidelines were based on European conditions bla bla bla(don't want to go deep into that issue as its still disputed:twisted
Ok...on Sat I'm going to a Dyno again, not ATC's, and put the car on there...what I'm expecting is MUCH more increase in tourgue...if you can remembah, last time I thought the clutch went coz of this mongoletsi remap but was not the case...ATC's dyno overeads inputs and then gives you a balooned figure...so can't be true! Im at 180Nm standard, and even the Polow's have more Nm's than that...maybe over 200 and I'll be heppie I don't want increase in powah - just more torque from 1500rpm to 3000rpm...coz right there the car is a Yaris T1...oh, getting the K&N panel filter installed before the Dyno with a normal ECU reset and trash on highway so that it can calibrate the AFM with the new addition - also doing cambelt service and changing variator on same day which will bring engine back to factory performance as variator killed performance noticably!
Do any of you guru's think a Dastek will be worth it? Already free flow custom exhaust and now panel filter with some airbox mod to increase airflow...didn't take cats out yet...waiting a bit with that...
I know Ford Fiesta ST's with a dastek is hectic for an N/A car...at the tolls to JHB was chasing one...from 1st we sat it hit 2cnd then I saw the dasktek sticker...it pulled like a N/A car but I'm sure it would have killed a standard 147kw GTi for sure...it killed me from 2cnd and the gap was about 10m between his tailpipe and my front numberplate...yoh... if I can get torque up I would be heppie!
opinions pls!
