I hope this thread is in the correct sections and isn't a repeat. I've done a search on the forum and not found anything similar.

Hello MyBB!

I'm looking for a tool or app that I can install on my home PC (Windows 10) that will monitor my internet line speed every 30 minutes for a week or so.

Similar to sppedtest above but automatic as opposed to me clicking it all the time. I'm paying for a 10mb connection but don't ever see more than 3 or 4 MB on the normal speedtest page on MyBB.

So I want to setup a tool that can run speed tests every 30 mins to give me an average over time. Then after a week or so moan at or congratulate my ISP for k@k or excellent service.

The internet has lots of tools that monitor usage live but none that I can set-and-forget to do what I describe above. My home PC is always on (it's a media server) but I rarely use it for day-to-day computing.

Any help appreciated!

Edit - I have found testmy.net and that seems to do what I want but only for 24 hours (as far as I can tell).

PingPlotter if you just want to test latency of an extended period. Not sure about a speed test though. Perhaps test 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, evening) at roughly the same time each day for an entire week. Do both tests across 2 different ISPs.

Also, be sure to do the tests while connected to LAN, not WIFI and obviously stop all other activity - downloading torrents, etc. Oh and check on your router to confirm that Telkom ASSIA hasn't auto-decreased your line speed.

If your 10MB line is suddenly syncing at a lower speed there's a strong possibility.
