That was my first thought. It's a bit like switching on the TV and surfing channels to find the weather if you want to know what it's looking like outside.
But then, I haven't looked at it (I'm not affected ) - it might show you what's coming. Anyone tried it?
The thing is it shows the four power states,so once it turns brown.You know eskom are busy load shedding,but with the way load shedding works is each area pretty much as a different time and the load shedding usually lasts about a day.So if you see the icon turn brown it's advised to check when the power cuts will be in your area if they are.It's basically just a warnings saying "you stand the chance of your power going out,take a look at the load shedding schedule".When it's not on brown though you should have nothing to worry about.
