Monitor mounts

I have a 2232GW and a 226BW which I am looking to mount on my desk.

There does not seem to be much variety in this regard. Have found this single one for R1300 :eek: and the double for R1600 :(

That is a lot of money. And the double does not even have a clamp - it just sits on the desk, still taking up space...

Also, I am aware that the 2232GW does not even have VESA mounting holes and as such cannot be mounted at all. I am hoping to get another 226BW soon, though. Otherwise, ideas for mounting the 2232 would be greatly appreciated

I have the Aavara double lcd stand for my 2253GWs, and I must say, even though it has a stand, I freed up a huge amount of desk space.

It is nicely constructed piece of kit too.
 
I built a wooden stand, cost 200 bucks

15cm high
30cm deep
100cm wide

Keyboard free's up all the desk space you need.. would have posted photos but it is in storage untill I move again.. really works well

How much did it set you back and from where?

Indeed. This might be the way forward. Wood and nails and spraypaint are cheap...
 
+1 for the Aavara - I was alos sceptical about the desk space, but it's great - you have a lot more space than you think.

Sybaritic also has them for R1548 incl.

I got mine from Frontosa for R1,234 +VAT a while back. They still seem to be the same price on the end-June pricelist - I see they just got new stock of the clamp-base model at the same price as the desk-stand model, but you have to be a registered reseller, unless you already know someone with an account...

That is almost as much as another monitor :eek:

Guess I am gonna have to leave it for now. Look into a DIY wooden jobbie. Sounds like fun :) And my damn 2232 won't VESA mount in any case :o

Yup the prices are insane. I looked for my model as well and it's more expensive than I paid for it over a year ago :-\
