Hey, my uncle in the U.S is having a problem. He has two monitors, the first is a smaller screen that works, but then second screen (larger) does not work.

What happens is on the larger screen after the BIOS does its regular check the monitor simply shuts off. My thoughts on this was he set windows resolution to high for the monitor, but when he said the bigger monitor doesnt work and the smaller one does, it counts it out.

Anyone got any ideas... thanks

I will need to ask him, but why you ask

Had a similar problem with the screen going blank recently. In the end it was a badcaps problem on the motherboard.

I dont think the means its a dual screen setup, his uncle switched the screens around to see why the big one doesn't work...

I'm still pondering what the problem could be...

Also take into account you cannot set the resolution the same for both monitors(Depending on graphics card) some allow it some don't...I'm running a 17" And a 15" My 17" is plugged into the main graphics card plug-in and my 15" is plugged into the special extention adapter of the graphics card...I've set my graphics to A= 17"Main screen and B=15" 2nd monitor and it works perfectly(the resolutions are not the same) cannot set the same res on both screens..
