Monitor timeout solution

If you ever watched a movie then you know that sometimes the screen will just go blank on you even though you turned off the screensaver.

Well, try this next time:

Set screen blank time to 1 hour instead of the default 5 minutes:

xset s 3600 3600

Turn DPMS (display power management signalling) off:

xset -dpms

You can also try:

xset -dpms;xset s off

To check if DPMS is off:

xset q

Keyboard Control:
auto repeat: on key click percent: 0 LED mask: 00000002

Me neither, I just turn my Screensaver off and under Power Settings, change Turn off monitor
to Never.
