any one know if telkom has figured out how to only monitor international bandwidth yet ? would give to much more to there great local loop slogan.

Well I'm sure they can - just look at when you're capped. You can browse local websites but not intl websites...

thats cos your put on to a iprange that gets routed though the oldest switch in the place, but your local trafic gets routed nomaly.
come to think of it, putting peole on and of the cap'ed link must be quite a over head.

Of course Telkom can tell the difference, they always have been able to, they just choose not to implement international only monitoring so they can extract more money from you.

we should demand a change, i dont mind keeping stuff local, just want some beifit out of it !

It has been demanded at the recent ICASA hearing. All we can do is wait for the outcome... speaking of which anyone have any updates?
