Monk or Paladin for dps

I've want to reroll a new char, either a monk or paladin. I prefer playing a dps class, not really interested in tanking or healing. I haven't played any of the two before. Which one will be the most fun to play pve and have descent dps in dungeons. Any advice welcome. Thanks. :)
 
Oh God I miss WOW. The divorce just wouldn't be worth it...

I was Ret back in the day, and used to pwn face. And then the raidfinder happened, and my 7 years of fun ended.

Just. So. Tempting.
 
Haven't played in a few months, so I'm out of the loop on current changes. I leveled my pally first when MOP came out, and made the mistake of doing it in ret - the rotation is so boring.

My advice, even if it turns out that pala is better DPS end game, I would role monk to avoid suffering through ret leveling. I'm thinking they're are pretty even anyway, and both have the option to role healer/tank OS. Pala healing was a favourite of mine.

Why don't you try both?

You will get the best dps out of the class you enjoy playing, not neccesarly the class someone else likes to play :) .
