How did Monster Energy Drink become so big so fast? Its bigger than Play and Dark Dog and the rest.

Biggest new brand for 2011?
 
It's a good drink, I've been sipping on one this evening, it's 50% juice and a vitamin injection :)

So it's not full of caffeine? They also done a good job of branding themselves in motorsportz etc
 
Orange monsters are perfect when you need a bit of a boost or if you have a long day ahead:
always served ice cold:

- with ice in tall glass
- served with champagne at breakfast
- perfect for two as orange juice with breakfast
- to cure hangover

They've been around for a while (since 2002). Just blew up in SA this year... Tastes a lot better than Play, which tastes like a sugary soda with BioPlus added to it.
 
Have any of you had a Java Monster? OMG it's good, I would live on it if it wasn't so pricey, have had the Irish Blend and the Toffee one.... Drooool, wish I could find them again.
 
Ken Block would be my answer. Filter down effect through popular culture.

They are doing what Red Bull is doing and it seems to be working.

They have also made the logo 'cool'. You see people with Monster logos on their car bumpers or wearing hats with it on. I personally dont understand these people but that's what's happened.
 
Good logo + extreme sports + marketing. Sponsor, sponsor, sponsor.

Plus for the same price of a Red Bull you get almost triple the product.
 
They probably have sponsored almost every single type of sport in one way or another

eSports included.

It's all in the layout of the Logo and the stickers and what not that they used to market it.
The logo is pretty damn cool.
