Montessori schools

Blu, go spend some time at one of the schools and observe for yourself. I think there is some BS being spouted here.
 
Everyone I know who has experience of the schools has had only good things to say about them. The big positives seem to be that the children learn greater independence, better self-discipline and social skills. Mixing children of various ages is considered a good thing.

Yes, quite remarkable that they get such young children to exercise self-discipline.

Montessori schools differ, and my take may admittedly not necessarily be a true reflection of how Montessori schools operate in general, but for me it just had a whiff of "cult" or at least overly controlled - and it was enough to put me off.

And you don't think what we refer to as a traditional method of schooling does not have a whiff of cult?
