Are there anybody here that actually installed FTTH in this area? It seems I just get the runaround all the time.

Yes I got FTTH about a year ago. Back then the installation took about 2 weeks. Ordered via WebAfrica.

I just moved here and ordered my Fibre package from Web Africa, it took them two weeks but telkom showed up today to install the line.

They installed everything but the light on the terminal keeps flashing red, the tech said its because the line is not activated at the exchange and they need to pass it on to a different department to have it activated which should take a day or two. Which is weird because the caretaker told me there are three other flats in the complex with working fibre...

The text next to the light.. LOS (Line of Sight)
My line once stop working, the red light was flashing... The telkom tech replaced the whole line and it was working again

Who do I contact if there is a problem with the line, Telkom or Web Africa? The Telkom guys gave me a reference number but if the issue inst fixed I'm not sure who to contact with that reference number.

I contacted Nicola at WebAfrica... she forwarded it to the WebAfrica Fibre team. 2 days later the LOS light was yellow again. Did not need to contact Hellkom at any point, though a telkom/openserve dude did all the work
