What is strange is that Eskom bleated about needing a heap of money to buy more power stations. So why a reduction? Are power stations suddenly cheaper? And considering that we are using less power than we once were it makes even less sense.

There is a really dumb person in charge of the government's calculator. Oh, what the heck. They are all dumb.

Eskom has billions in loans to repay and still needs to secure more funding. The reduction is as a result of political pressure. An ANC PR excercise.
