Hi,

I started a thread a week or 2 ago about changing my loan to a car loan. After some research it seems like way to much effort to do it in that way.

As stated in the previous thread I drive a 2008 1.3 64KW Daihatsu Sirion (55 000km). Since I am utterly bored with the car I think I might look for something new and more fun. I believe if I sell it privately I might get between 75k and 80k

I'm looking for something between 80k and 110k (maybe a little more). I also don't want a car with more than 125 000kms on the clock. Any ideas for a more fun car that doesn't eat too much petrol?

So far Ive looked at a 2006/2007 Honda Civic - 1.8i V-Tec EXi 5 Door.

what about Ford Fiesta ST?

90% of the time I drive to work and back, And to my GF and back. Unfortunately there's a lot of hills and stuff and the 1.3 struggles. I get 13km/L when I drive really really careful.

From what I have read and seen, if I drive careful up those hills with the 1.8 my mileage should be a lot better.

13km/l isn't that bad. If you expect significantly better economy than that, especially from a NA 1.8 petrol engine, you're in for a disappointment.

I can attest to the Civic's slight thirst for fuel. I still love mine ,even though I'm very tempted to trade it in for a new Kia Optima . It's been really good to me during its 3.5 years of service. OP, if you can, rather opt for the VXi and, (again) if you can, get an auto. The car will spoil you with all its luxury and convenience features that the EXi just doesn't have.

Get a RunX RSi buddy - best amount of fun for R100k that you can have:)

Its decent on petrol also

I have a buddy with a Civic 1.8. He almost never drives on the highway and gets 16km/L
