More grabit help plz guys

Hi peoples I wanted to know if it would be possible to download grabit files with another newsreader.

For instance, can I place the files downloaded with grabit in newsbin and continue to download it?

The reason I'm asking is because I need to download approx. 2GB of data and it's been crawling for 5 days near 10 KB/s.

Is this only related to the newsservers or should another newsreader speed things up?
