More powerful speakers?

It all depends on what music you listen to. Have a look at thr rms Power as well as peak power the speakers can produce. Rock music you need a high rms value, but classic music a high peak value.
Most suppliers just give the rms value, but peak value play a bigger role.

If u listen to music at lower volumes but have 4.1 or 5.1 sound system. It does sound much better than the average 2.1 or even normal Stereo(left and right) systems.

U have the ambient surround music effect, wich creates a new sound environment. Sounds much better.

On some soundcards / sound-systems u can even add special sound effects on the system. Basically giving you different "vibe" on the song that your playing.
(Maybe club echo, or cathedral, or just more punch on Bass and Synth etc.etc)

More watts doesn't mean it will be louder. Sometimes they advertise a 2500watt system but its split into 5 small speakers and then 1 subwoofer. and may be a PMPO measurement. Not true wattage. It also depends on the brand. U can have a normal 2.1 system with 800watt (PMPO) and then compare that to a Logitech 2.1 800watt (PMPO). They might not even sound the same, one might have more power, the other might sound clearer. Or one brand might have both

It's easter dude, what are you smoking?

RMS - constant power output
PEAK - the highest power output in perfect conditions for very short periods(seconds)...almost impossible to obtain.
Peak is meaningless, never trust a speaker with no rms value on it.Any other power rating is marketing talk trying to cover the real (very low) output.

Biggie is correct.

RMS is real Watts (contant power)

PMPO (Peak Music Power Output) is a type of measurement. Its not real Watts and can sometimes give a fake estimate. As i've said some 800Watt PMPO systems might sound better than others. * where'as example. an 100Watt RMS 8" subwoofer will pretty much sound similar to another 100Watt RMS 8" subwoofer *

Just get a pair of Sennhieser or Berhinger Earphones :)

A pair of good headphones works excellent. But don't get those In-ear type*earphones* (small thumb size stuff). Get proper Big headphones, some of them give nice bass and are very sharp.

Also very helpfull when u play games or music very early in the morning. Specially if there are other folks around (family members, or flatmates or maybe girlfriend etc that don't wanna be desturbed by loud game soundFX or music at 3am etc) :>>>

Wish I was smoking something when I wrote that... Yeah, sorry. I am 100% wrong. Thanks for the correction, I ment that RMS is more important.

i dont know how much those creatives are going for, but if its within your budget, have a look at the logitech z4 speakers. really good quality and they go for around R800.
otherwise, if you have the cash, logitech z2300 or altec lansing fx4021. +-R1400. the altec's only have 40rms compared to the logitech's 200rms, but the crystal clear sound you get from the altecs are really worth the price!
