good post reech. nz seem to be in the same boat as us, but at least their telco's giving them options. Imagine Telscum upping bandwidth from 256k to 2mb and not charging anything extra. I wont be holding my breath.
However, they do have that 10gig cap, which, with 2mb, u could reach during your lunchbreak. Having said that, if its true 64k they throttle you down to after cap, its not too bad.

Telkom NZ is about to be forced into LLU - they're just trying to grab/retain as much market share as they can before true competition kicks in!! - I think that 10gb is reasonable for a baseline offering tho -- well it's a lot better than 3gb.
 
Yeah I agree with reech, 10GB is fine for an intial offering.

SA ADSL = 3GB = 1GB/10 Days
NZ ADSL = 10 GB = 1GB/3 Days

Counting down...
