But I am happy to see that RP is improving. Hell it will be a blessing to have 2 flyhalves for next years WC.

Ruan's game-play has proven him inconsistent, a player is allowed to have the odd game off not the other way around "the odd game on". Ruan is well aware that there are players far better then himself and therefore he is constantly trying to prove himself and in the process making more mistakes. Pieter need to accept the boy is playing in his dad's shadow. I'ts time to move on, he had his opportunity.

RP on the bench is way cooler for cover than Kockott. Also RP is a way better kicker than kockett out of hand imo.
Kockott is 10-1 a better scrummie atm but RP covers NR 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 from the bench.
In WC matches that will be handy as then you pick another guy like hougaard who covers the same an one centre. Then you can load the bench with fowards.
+1 Lance is always very rational when it comes to Ruan Pienaar vs Morne Steyn.

I say Kockott is suppose to be the #2 Scrummie in the country, even though I would bench Pienaar as a utility in stead of Kockott. Kockott is by far the best scrummie in SA with Fourie not playing because of his op. Why the hell field anyone else but him is beyond me. He should be on the field instead of January and RP on the bench.
