So last night my brother in-law poped in for a visit since hes down in Durbs for a few days on business. He just came from a "hand over" function at the new soccer stadium. Not exactly sure of his company's involvment in it (they specialize in process automation). And he's telling us how fantastic the whole setup is and how you can zoom into a hair follicle with the security cameras etc... So I go on about the mad costs of these stadiums, and how are we going to keep them productive after the world cup. Thats when he mentions the cost of the grass for the pitch... wait for it (still can't beleive it myself)... R19mil

WTF ... how can that be true or even possible  Jee, we're in the wrong business :D (and you can't even smoke that shyte :D)

R19m for that pitch is NOT alot of money..

Its one of the most advanced pitches on the continent, if not the planet...

condisidering how much it costs to maintain pitches in europe 19 mill could be a steal and note this isnt you normal grass you rolled around in your front yard. Its blended with fibres to improve the strength and ensure it doesnt get damaged easily.
