Most Affordable Internet - For Gambling

According to our deputy minister of Trade and Industry, Rob Davies, online gambling is effecting those people earning less that R1000 per month.

How does someone earning less than R1000 a month afford a computer with internet access?

The 2003 study to which I have referred, not surprisingly indicates that participation by low income people is greater in forms of activity which do not require facilities that such people are unlikely to have access to, such as computers to engage in internet gambling. Likewise if the outlets are located nearby, such people are more likely to engage than if they have to travel some distance to an outlet.

Lol, thats a silly comment to make.

I think more people in SA play at the real casino's, vs Online.

Sure some of those people do play online. Poker or Slots, Roulette or Blackjack.

But yes. i know a few addicts, and yeah, they go for the vibe, the entertainment.

To them its a outting, its like teenagers that go Clubbing :>> *Turning the flashlight on and off and a mp3 player isn't gonna make you think its a rave*

You even get bots that gamble online for you these days.. You set how risky they can be, and you when they should stop based on conditions, email/sms progress.. Its also very easy to bluff online. I once watched someone lose 36k in an hour and a half playing Texas holdem on piggs peak
