Most expensive game (+ expansions)

I've spent quite a bit on funding SC, but completely forgot about that one when thinking of expensive games XD Technically Star Citizen is a very amazing playable tech demo, one day when it is a game, you can add it to the list
I guess one could argue the point, but still, it's money you can spend right now on something you can play now in some form. Madness regardless.

I see it as investing in the future of a game that I would really like to be successful. I've spent money on games that were "AAA" and regret every single cent of that, but regret nothing i've spent on SC because I believe one day it will be the game I want to play.

Also, I've spent quite a bit of time playing and grinding in SC, so its much further progressed than just a tech demo these days, they are making progress in leaps and bounds the last 2-3 years

CIG will disagree. They very much call it a game in whichever state that it may be.

I think that DCS may be the most expensive all-inclusive retail game on Steam. I know that there are other expensive simulation games like Train Simulator, but eh. The Sims is crazy expensive considering what it is.

I am sure that in-game monetization beats game + DLC by light years. Seeing how much people drop on skins and uniqueness, lol. I don't know where people get money, you get rich people, and then you get people who don't have that money to spend, but they spend it anyway. Some titles are outright gambling, surprise mechanics and all ;)

There are also some oddities on Steam, like weird indie games which are absurdly priced. Dirty laundry...

Rule #1, buy your games and DLC at discount!!! Get a sub, where possible, to check out new games.

Pretty sure if you gonna buy all 730+ DLC's for Train Simulator it could add up as well

Average price R130 * 730 = R94 900 ?

I agree some cosmetics in games are just insane, they charge insane amounts for something you will never see.

I spend a but on Path Of Exile every season, I think after almost 6k hours played they have earned my support

Damn, never seen that list, there are a hell of a lot of DLC's there, would be interested to know how much it works out to, but it doesn't show like DCS does

That's cause no one in their right mind would buy all of them.

People thats into that kinda of thing wont buy up all the trains for say EU if they into USA Trains with US routes,

That makes sense, would just have been interesting

Star Citizen surely must rate quite high on this list.

Total scam. I was a founder. Founders benefits quickly turned into a joke. But it was good school money, since I haven't bought Early Access since.

Except for Oxygen Not Included and Ark Survival. Did my homework first though. Thousands and thousands of hours of gameplay worth.
