Most important 2010 question...

where are they going to get the power for all the stadiums and how are they going to transport or house everyone

and how is the poor going to afford tickets, since i heard they will start at R500

or will the gvt subsidise the tickets for local poor ppl

Where are they going to play the Curry Cup matches?

Maybe SA will have given up rugby by then ( after the Saturday massacre! ).

why do they even bother to let bafana bafana play
we all now the outcome

after first match they would have lost 5-0

after second match they would have lost 7-0

and then they are out... and then they will have to find new ppl to blame, except themselves

Yes, they will. Which will lead to a lot of black market tickets being scalped before matches, which might not be the best thing.

Dude, four years is a long time to get a team together.

Not to sound pessimistic but they had 4 years to do just that before this world cup and didnt even qualify.
That is true. But hosting it makes a whole lot of difference.

Germany nearly made the final this year with a team that they themselves admitted were young, inexperienced and inferior to many teams out there.

We are not trying to win 2010, clearly. Just getting out of our group would be well worth celebrating!

germany started off with ppl thinking that
but soon proved they had a really good team, some young superstars

so germany had a good team (unlucky they where to meet italy) italy just has luck

south africa in 4 years time
we wont get out our group
unless they rig it and put us in with the low teams (who would prolly beat us)

we have no good soccer players in this country or anywhere else for that matter

if we where not hosting it we would not quality thats for sure

Is this a re-distribution of wealth scheme?

There are good players but not only 1 player can make a team and the current team SUCK big time there was a report in the paper a while ago the South African players dont even show up for practise at all but when they are not allowed to play matches they throw their toys around.

Play on possibly some High School rugby field. It matches with the level of player standards these days. Affies and Waterkloof should start building suites.
