We always talk about buggy engines and problematic console port etc. So who is the most stable and unstable PC game developers/publisher? Here's my 2c...what's yours.

1. Blizzard - Most Stable
2. ID Software
3. Microsoft
4. Activition
5. EA Games - Least Stable

Hmm, personally I'm not a fan of Blizzard. Maybe it's just my PC, but Warcraft 3 gave me endless problems. I'd rate Microsoft as #1 because none of the XBOX games I've ever played has given me any problems. I know Microsoft didn't actually produce the games, but it was still written using the XGN Game Studio, wasn't it?

Hmmm. I don't think one can truly say that one developer is more stable than another. It depends on the game (and many, many other factors). Both Blizzard and ID are good, but there games are certainly not stable (especially out-of-the-box). Years on and they are still releasing patches now and again for various titles.

I could find you bugs in games from each of those developers.

Anything that EA is responsible for is guaranteed to be a bug-ridden mess. Recently ubisoft has started vying with EA for top spot though. Shame though, ubi used to release pretty decent games.

Not sure if their games aren't bug ridden but they always give excellent support to the their games communities . BioWare is definitely my favorite game developer.

I like Epic Games' Unreal engine. Quake engine is also good. The reason is, they outsource the engines to other game developers, so it needs to be (or appear to be) bug-free.

EA and M$ are hit and miss with stability. Blizzard is OK if you enjoy d/l patches every few hours.

Blizzard's games are stable. The patches are mostly due to constant balance tweaking and the fact that their games are popular, and thus are targets for various methods of cheating and exploitation.

Anyone developing for the PS3 has the least number of buggy games.
Probably because of the lack of games...

/me gets flame suit.

:-)

It seems like all the games I really have problems with are EA Games
