Hey guys

I turned on my pc this morning and it did its pre start up and then froze on the description of the ram. I thought nothing of it and then proceeded to turn my pc on, i then started it up again there was no display showing. The fans, cpu, hdd and gpu are all on and working, also the mobo lights are on but I get no display.

I have tried:
1. replacing the mobo battery, no luck.
2. switching the ram etc, no luck.
3. checking the cpu thermal paste has gone onto my mobo, all is good.
4. taking the components out and running it on a tray, no luck.
5. just running my cpu and mobo with the power supply, but no sounds.
6. taking all ram out, no sound.
7. different gpu, no luck.
8. different power supply, no luck.

my setup:

Core i7 930
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R rev 2
GPU: Asus GTX 570
HDD: Seagate 500gb
ram: 3 x 2GB Corsairs and 3 x 1GB patriots

mobo failure?

if anyone is in CT and has the same mono as me can i please put my components in it to see if it is anything else? (pm me)

sounds like mobo or cpu, why don't you take it around to one of the pc shops and they can test everything.

It is risky using someone elses kit as your equipment may damage their kit if there are any faulty components. Good luck
