Motherboard Rom update

Hi,

I am trying to get the latest bios ROM for my motherboard, from the Windows system information it shows American Megatrends Inc, 080015, 29/12/2010. Anyone know where I could get it.

I recently bought a SSD, but my pc seems to switches off when Windows 10 is loading, I don't think it's the power supply as if I use a normal hdd with Windows 7 on the same sata cable and power cable it works. I checked online and it states that it could be a bios update issue.

Will I get that on the initial boot up screen, or i have to check in bios, or is it written somewhere on the motherboard? I don't have the original box or manuals, bought it back in 2010.

It should be on your POST screen or on the Motherboard itself.

that's the bios version but nevermind just follow the link above, hopefully there was only a v1.

Should i just download the Rom and use the American megatrends bios update utility?

Cant you update the bios from the bios and not in windows?
