Hi

I have an ASUS P5KPL/1600 Motherboard
Radeon HD4850 1GB - Dual DVI HD TV
2.5GHZ Dual Core
4GB ddr2 800
1.5TB
Currently connected via dvi/hdmi cable to 32 lcd tv
I would like to add a blu ray drive some time in the future, this motherboard has 8 channel sound.
Will I be able to receive HT-DTS etc Blu ray loss-less sound
If i connect the onboard spdif header to the graphics card and output sound via graphics card's dvi port to a sony blu ray capable receiver that can receiver the high def sound that comes with blu ray?

CrossFire X ready, featuring top game experience.
Intel LGA775 Platform
Intel G31/ICH7 Chipset
FSB 1600(O.C.)/1333/1066/800
DDR2 1066(O.C.)/800/667
2 PCI Express x16 slots, support CFX
4x SATA 3Gb/s
V1708B 8-CH HD audio

If your concerned about sound rather spend a few randts and get a standalone card like a creative. I've yet to come across onboard sound that matches a sound blaster audigy.

The output on the Audigy is it coaxial?
Can the high quality hd-dts audio from blu ray be transmitted across coaxial, I thought you needed an hdmi cable to transmit the high definition codec streams?
